"Meduza" needs help. I have a long history with it — I managed to fall in love with the old "Lenta.ru" back in 2011-2012, when there were hopes for change in the country, and I had just moved to a distant land and couldn't be involved. I followed what was happening on "Lenta"'s website and Twitter. A few years later, "Lenta" was gone, but "Meduza" appeared. And honestly, at first, it wildly annoyed me. Who needs a news aggregator? Where are the exclusives and columns? Later — Who came up with the idiotic "explaining with GIFs" format? Why does "Meduza" always teach other media outlets how to live? But despite this, "Meduza" did what no one else did. It published excellent investigations, exclusives, interviews. And ultimately, it became for me, as for many Russians, the main source of independent information. You can dislike the editorial team for many things, but you can forgive them everything for this one thing alone. Today, only "Meduza" makes efforts to remain accessible to people in Russia. And it seems to me that this alone is worth supporting it. So that brighter times may come, when "Meduza" will start annoying again.
