I live in Russia and love Ukraine very much, where I have been countless times. On the morning of February 24th, I woke up and in horror couldn't believe what was happening. I sat on the bed, looked out the window, exchanged messages with my closest ones, and tried to comprehend all this horror. I called my friend in Kyiv, and she told me that for 6 hours she had been driving by car to the west of the country together with her little daughter, a dog, and three suitcases... Now my closest friends are freezing in Kyiv and walk up to the 22nd floor when there is no electricity, and I cannot understand how in the 21st century such things can be done to closest neighbors. I am incredibly worried about what is happening and I believe that this will end, and that at least some of those responsible will be punished. As soon as it becomes not deadly dangerous, I will begin to actively resist here, in Russia.
