I was afraid to write this for a long time. I used to be a member of a public organization — harmless in appearance, not affiliated with United Russia. I joined to try it out, and I barely touched the system. At most, I would go to schools and ask children to write letters to soldiers in the "special military operation." Back then, it seemed like a good deed. After all, I wasn't helping to supply weapons, I was just helping the soldiers with a kind word from children. But the last straw was the order to participate in United Russia pickets, and that was when I made the final decision to leave. At that same time, I started watching opposition bloggers and noticed: almost all of them cite the "Meduza" publication. I began reading it myself, and my consciousness was turned upside down. It turned out that I had been living in a bubble where the truth was replaced by propaganda. Now I hide my opposition views and truly hope that they do not become known to the authorities. I am still afraid. But staying silent when you have seen the light is even scarier. Therefore, I ask you to support "Meduza." It is this publication that helped me turn on my critical thinking and see reality. Before believing information, check reliable sources, preferably more than one. Develop critical thinking — that is why we are given a brain, to think, and not to blindly accept everything as the truth.
