In its first year of existence (if my memory serves me right, in 2014) Meduza wrote a big article about "Academician Nikolai Strakhov" – a unique vessel, important for the country, which was "stuck" in Sri Lanka and almost sold for debts due to the shipowner's negligence. People I knew worked there. These people found themselves in a hopeless situation. The country almost lost a research vessel. Only thanks to Meduza's publication was it possible to draw the attention of the Russian authorities to this problem. Please support the publisher. Russian authorities have recognized them as almost enemies of the people, but I am sure that only media like Meduza highlight problems within the country. Yes, the publisher is not perfect. But without Meduza, it will be even worse. We risk being left with eternally joyful news from state media and anonymous Telegram channels. And this will be a disaster for all of us. Who will then write about what is bad, about injustice? How will it be possible to distinguish black from white?
