I think that Russia, both now and in the future, needs good, viable, independent media – this is a public good, and therefore it's not right to lose the last publications remaining among such. Since Meduza writes about problems that are close to people who have, in one way or another, acquired a Russian identity (and from which it's not so easy to get rid of and calmly go read NY Times, Spiegel or Neue Zurcher Zeutung), therefore, to chip in money for the survival of a kindred spirit project – is a righteous cause, I believe. After all, would you want to find yourself in a world without Russian-language media with quality analysis, where among Russian-language content there is only propaganda and neuro-slop? I would not want to.
