And my "great" state thinks that it is better than everyone else, smarter than everyone else, and knows better than others what I and my compatriots should live and die for. But it is deeply mistaken. And by reading Meduza, I know that I am not alone in my opinion. I am not a monarchist, there are no monarchists or turbo-patriots in my social circle, we are ordinary people who, like you in January 2022, considered the warnings in the news about the start of a war to be disinformation. And now we have all been living in this reality for 5 years, where people receive charges and prison sentences for calling for Peace, where the constitutional right to assembly is trampled upon by feigned concern for health, while those who will never be able to tell their stories are being transported in both directions every day. For me, Meduza is an outlet, one of the fragments of a normal human world that I really do not want to lose. Peace. Friendship. Chewing gum.
